A special shout-out to Costa and Paris, who made our boat trip so enjoyable. We’re normally quite apprehensive about boat trips, having had some bad experiences both renting our own boat and on guided tours, but this was up there with one of the best boat experiences. We were lucky with the weather, which made for a very smooth ride. Our departure was slightly delayed because of the unforeseen forest fires the night before, but this was completely understandable. Once we got going, we had an excellent tour of the highlights of the Albanian coast, with some fantastic swimming and snorkelling spots along the way. Thanks to the good weather, we were also able to visit the Blue Cave, which was definitely one of the highlights. We normally find popular tourist attractions a little overrated — Gramma Bay was actually our least favourite stop of the tour — and while the Blue Cave is admittedly quite commercialised, it was still a magical experience. I’ve visited quite a few blue and green caves around the world, but this was the first one where I’ve been able to actually swim inside, which made it really special. The byrek they served on the boat were also fantastic — honestly, better than the ones we bought that morning from a specialist byrek shop in Himare! What we really appreciated about Costa and Paris was how well they read the group and organised the day. They timed the stops to try to avoid the busiest periods and made an effort to find quieter, more hidden spots. They also recognised that we weren’t a “party” group, so unlike some of the other boats we saw, they didn’t blast loud music throughout the trip. It made the whole experience much more relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, without a doubt, our best day in Albania. Highly recommended. Huge thanks again to Costa and Paris!

I participated in the excursion. Despite a departure about 20 minutes late, the boat trip was really great. We discovered some magnificent, secluded coves, some a bit more crowded, but all with stunning scenery. The stop at the Blue Cave is truly incredible and definitely worth the detour! The various guides/boat captains were very friendly, creating a great atmosphere on board, especially thanks to the music. My only slight complaint was the 1.5-hour stop on one of the beaches, which I found a bit too long. A shorter stop would have allowed us to enjoy the boat trip more. Overall, a fantastic excursion that I highly recommend for discovering the coast and its landscapes from the sea!

We did the Gramma Bay tour. Excellent experience from start to finish. Captain George and Marinos (sorry about spelling) were fantastic. They were very informative and attentive to all passengers. Our tour had a mix of ages from young families to older couples. The tour felt safe and snacks supplied were very nice. Felt like we had plenty of time for swimming and spending time off the boat. The only thing we would say that was not ideal was when stopped on some beaches (Gramma Bay for one hour, pigeon bay for 30 mins – these beaches were very busy with other people and it was hard to find shade so it was very hot). Perhaps spending less time on them would have been a bit better. Also, may be better if the boat had no smoking policy on board as this was slightly off putting, especially for younger kids. Overall, a great day out and would recommend.

Together with my bestie we took the Gramma bay trip. It was the highlight of our trip to Albania! Big thanks to the crew, if I’m not mistaken there was Angelo and Costa( really sorry if the names are incorrect) The boat was filled with 30 people but we were comfortable, not sitting on top of each other. The trip offers sodas, water and a pie as a snack. I would recommend to take your own food as well as the route took us almost 6 hours. The views we encountered were amazing. Crystal clear waters, steep cliffs, caves, mountains and cozy beaches that are not accessible from the land. Had multiple stops on the way including one in Gramma bay where we could enjoy some sun and a drink. Unfortunately due to the wind we did not go to the secret pigeons cave. Seeing what was happening on the sea we understood the decision of the capitain. Swimming into the cave was included. The crew was attentive and funny, keeping the mood on the boat lively and sharing some facts. They were also asking multiple times whether everything is okay what we found attentive and caring. After the whole day on the boat i was a bit sunburnt so would definitely advise to take sunscreen with you. Great trip, book in advance as it seems to be busy in the season 😇 Thank you!!!!

We had an amazing experience with this boat tour! We did the Grama Bay tour, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The boat was large, spacious, comfortable, and felt very safe. The captain was incredibly skilled, navigating into narrow sea caves with total confidence, which made the experience even more impressive. We visited beautiful places like Dryback Cave, Blue Cave, Turtle Cave, and several other hidden coves that we would never have discovered on our own. At each stop, the guides took the time to explain the history or the reason behind the names of the caves, which made the tour even more interesting. Although the tour was advertised as 5.5 hours, it actually lasted over 6 hours. We never felt rushed—they gave us plenty of time to swim, relax, and enjoy every stop. We spent about an hour at Grama Bay, which was absolutely stunning. Lunch and drinks were included, and we got to try delicious traditional Albanian pastries, including cheese and spinach pies, which was a nice local touch. A special thank you to Angelo and Costa, who were both incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the trip. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Himarë. It was well organized, relaxing, and a fantastic way to discover places that are only accessible by boat.
